Trending Upwards
As our publicly traded competitors report Q2 results it looks like the recession continues for the home furnishings industry. While the sales trend appears to be up slightly there is no indication that a meaningful increase in demand is in the cards for 2010, or maybe even 2011. Harden has had a decent 2010 from a sales standpoint and hopefully that trend continues through year end. Contract is anticipating improved orders, our GSA activity generally increases with the approach of the end of the federal fiscal year, and the residential side is experiencing some welcome success. The recently announced launch of Cambridge Mills will provide us with another revenue source as we turn the calendar to 2011.
