Customer Event

We host two customer events annually and last week was the fall edition of sales training for retail owners and sales associates from around the country. We cover the waterfront, from forestry to trucking and it’s perhaps the only opportunity for these folks to see an operation where what begins as a log eventually ends up a piece of quality furniture. The program ended last Wednesday at noon, but several of the participants had late flights and we paid a visit to Ben Armstrong – a logger and the husband of Debbie, an account executive in our residential division. Ben was harvesting a property nearby and did a great job explaining how forestry really works and what practices he uses to be a good steward of the forest. It was a fun afternoon for everyone and an education that they won’t soon forget. Below is a picture I was sent afterwards of a group from Furnitureland South and myself at the logging operation.
